Shoot for the moon

There are some things that you can't change. There are events that just happen, reactions that come natural, and situations locked in space and time. But then there are those unexpected, and choices where you are asked to meet your fate half-way, where you're asked to trust not in your own best laid plans, but in those of your Father in Heaven - the one who's always looked out for you.

If I close my eyes for a second and picture a single moment of clarity, a moment where I knew, even for a split second, who I was and where I wanted to serve, I know that I would think back on an instance at the close of 2004.

To be quite honest, I never thought 2005 would roll around this quickly. The year comes with so much hope, so much joy, dissapointment - so much possibility. And yet we're only standing on the cusp of it. And so I guess this is my way of finally ringing in the new year, welcoming it with all that I have and acknowledging both the successes and failures that are bound to come this way.
