I've been thinking a lot about the holidays lately. I've been thinking about this past one in particular and all that was different, all that had changed and gratefully, all that remained the same. Spending - just spending - time with friends whom I don't get to see very often during the year was nice. Going along with family without a worry in those set few days was also very refreshing. And yet here, as the new year begins and school starts in not so many days, I wonder if I did everything I could have to make this transition into 2005 easier. I guess we'll never know.
My hopes and dreams for this new year are locked safely in the deepest recesses of my heart. I know not what to expect nor want to expect either. Whatever comes will come. Whatever happens will happen. Nothing ever stops it anyway right?
