It's final. I seriously think readership goes down in the summer. Anyway, today was day #2 at work and it was really a lot of fun. I think there is something really cool about doing things outside your field and I guess for myself, the more weird, out-of-field things I get to do, the more it adds to what I write; at least, I sure hope it does.
So tonight is the night I start working on my proposal. I've put if off for two weeks already and I'll need to courier it down to my friend to hand in before the end of this week. I'm scared, which is why I took last night off to procrasinate by renting a movie and cooking a nice dinner for myself. No more slack tonight though. At least, I hope so.
These past few days have been really nice. I do have things to think about but right now I'm at a place where I'm just doing and not really thinking. There certainly are things to fix in my life and I also have some major decisions regarding next year and the years after that to make. All in due time to think of them I guess. What I love so far about Edmonton is the amount of time that I've been able to spend with my family - in particular, my cousins: Simon, Leanne, Brian and the two little ones: Michael and Solomon. I seriously love them. There's something about family where you can just be close without having to stay in constant contact; we just clicked this past weekend after months of not talking. Simon's like an older brother: incredibly funny and he taught me how to fill up gas the other day. Leanne's beautiful and I've discovered a really awesome person in her - there's an honesty about who she is that's really touched me. My moto is "keep it real" so when I find people who are real about their feelings, who aren't afraid to show you when they get angry or when they're upset or to show their faults, I love them for it because it's honest. Brian is like a little brother (though he's only 1.5 years younger) and what more can I say about Michael and Solomon except that they're the cutest kids on the planet?
Anyway, I guess that's it for now. Gotta run to drop off some stuff at the post office. Have a great summer everyone!
