I don't know what's wrong with me. These days I've been feeling so incredibly antsy: I feel like home is so close and yet so far away (cliche I know but it's the truth). It's there, almost in sight, and I am so excited/nervous that I'm hardly concentrating anymore. It's bad. It really is, especially with the deadline next week.
I don't know what I'm expecting or if I'll end up missing Cambridge (which, undoubtedly I will a bit) but I think it's just hit me that I haven't seen my dad in nearly a year and that I really miss him. I want to go home, eat wine-marinated chicken feet (sorry if I disgust those of you who hate chicken feet), tofu (again, sorry), egg-plant, and truck-loads of sushi, pho, and chinese-style seafood.
I've also heard that there's a new T & T that's opened up in Harvest Hills?
Excellent.

Hi, Tru,
I share that antsy feeling. Right now it is being overruled by panic at the thought of what I still have to finish before the end of term, but beneath that, is the wonderful feeling of knowing home is soon to come. : - ) I'm going home on Dec. 15; when are you heading off? You're right, we should reunite before then.
Love, Linds : - )

Tacking on the cliches: there's no place like home. When you're flying home for the holidays, the only way to describe that exact feeling of anticipation is the way we used to feel when we were waiting to see if Santa came to visit over Christmas eve. It was never really about what presents we would get, but more of a confirmation that magic really did exist and perhaps, we would be able to catch a glimpse of it. Likewise, you have all these hopes that your homecoming will be magical. And it will be. It will be because you believe in it just like we believed that Santa really ate those cookies and drank that milk.
Can't wait for you to come home, Tru. :)

Hi Tru,
When are you coming home? Hopefully I'll get to see you this year, even though I'm going to Vancouver again. Can't wait to have one of our Starbucks sit-downs again! =)
