Home

Started with a 12 hour trip (including the bus ride and the crazy frenzy at Heathrow) . . .

Touched down on Canadian soil at approximately 14:20 yesterday afternoon. Smooth customs; no lost baggage (thanks God!!); and a nice chat with the taxi driver about immigrant work ethic and the new ring road in Edmonton. Key from Jessica (perfect timing at the front door of the apartment); a hot shower; clean clothes and a gianormous hug from Dez. Calgary notifications :) :)

6:30 reservations at the downtown Mikados. Three rolls + a deluxe platter ordered with the rationale that we'd 'take some home'. Never happened. Those pieces of fish on rice didn't even see it coming. We polished off the whole thing, feeling full but so so soooo satisfied.

Now, after a 9 hour sleep on Dez's soft bed (thank you), I'm ready for more 'home comings'.

It feels so nice to be back for Christmas.
