getting better

So I know that these past few entries have been a little heavy. It's not that normal life doesn't happen. It does. Laughter carries on, small moments with friends, good food and great family surround. Sometimes the undercurrents in your life just demand your attention and so you give your heart that.

The thing is that hearts respond to that 'life'; they respond to the little things. That's what makes certain moments so poignant - an open door after a fight, a hug without words exchanged, a friend who comes to sit with you in complete but compassionate silence. Life continues and you know that the deeper parts are being healed in the process.

I met with my supervisor today. I'm back with him and it feels right. It was hard at first but the more I sit in that chair and look at him, hear him, and follow him, the more I know that this is the 'best' that God has for me. This is my teacher, my mentor. The lessons are often hard to learn. But then, the best lessons often are.
